A large group of us had dinner at The Local in Highett last night. My first time there and I was pleasantly surprised to find the range of food meant there was something for everyone and that the prices were excellent. The Tuesday special of Fish and Chips was ordered by many and seemed excellent value at $14 including a drink. The Pizza’s looked really good. I ordered the Barramundi, Pan-Fried wild Barramundi with almond dukkah, potato, olives, spinach and tomato. Excellent!! And affordable at $25.
The only downside – and if you were there with kids for a quick week night meal it could be significant. It took a long time for my meal to arrive …
